Demographics (name, DOB) are visible by default. The MRN field lives on the Insurance tab, which isn't mounted until a user clicks it. Use ?tab=insurance to open it directly (clean case). A STATIC or XPath selector targeting the MRN field resolves to zero matches while the Insurance tab is closed — the data isn't missing, it just isn't on screen yet.

Why this is hard
  • The Insurance panel doesn't exist in the DOM until its tab is clicked — an XPath for the MRN field has nothing to match against on the Demographics tab
  • Page state is otherwise correct: right URL, no popup, nothing loading — the classifier's page-state checks all pass
  • Zero matches here means "wrong tab," not "selector broken" — recovery should open the Insurance tab and re-read, not treat it as an unrecoverable xpath failure
  • Real-world analogue: EHR demographics/insurance/billing tab groups, CRM contact detail sub-tabs
