ExtractDatamodel — Lab Results (Detached Node)

The results table renders correctly on load and is fully extractable. After 1000ms (simulating a client-side re-fetch), the original table node is removed and replaced by an empty state, even though the values were already correct before removal. Use ?detach=false to keep the table mounted.

Why this is hard
  • The extraction is correct if it fires before the node detaches — all 5 rows are present and well-formed
  • A health-check re-query fired after the detach finds the empty state instead, and can misreport a successful extraction as a failure
  • This is the "said it didn't but did" case: nothing was ever wrong with the read, only with re-verifying it after the DOM has already moved on
  • Real-world analogue: a lab-results widget that briefly shows a loading/empty state during a background refetch that returns the same data
